The crown rope braid is probably the easiest crown braid I’ve tried. The others crown braids I have made are: the dutch crown braid (actually what I did was more like a lace dutch crown braid), the flat crown braid with 4 strands (again the lace version of it) and the round crown braid with 4 strands (this seamed to me the most difficult I’ve tried). This might be an important reason to find this type of crown braid so easy…
Because it is a round braid I couldn’t hide the hanging part of the braid (I had the same problem with the round 4 stranded crown braid), so I made a rose bun and I was happy with the final result. I’ve also tried to hide the center of the crown, by combing more hair towards the back and I was again happy with how it turn out.
The technique used for this hairstyle is similar to the previous hairstyle – the asymmetric rope braid; except you have to go all the way round. It is a good hairstyle! You should try it!
This hairstyle is so difficult; it makes the regular crown braid to seam unbelievably easy. I’m guessing this is because for this type of crown braid I had to add hair from the both sides of the braid. When I make a regular crown braid or a four strands flat crown braid, I’m adding hair only from one side.
Again I used the second technique for 4 strands round braiding; it seamed to me easier to switch hands using this technique.
And because I realize it would be very difficult to tuck the ends, I didn’t. I just made a messy bun.
The best part is that – after trying this hairstyle – I’m able now to make a beautiful regular crown braid in less than 10 minutes and it seams to me simple.
That gives me hope!…

It is a difficult hairstyle, but if you do these two hairstyles before you try this one, you’ll find it much easier. And it is a hairstyle that looks very pretty.
